69. A-15 Broad Hollow Detour Monument – Information

Broad Hollow

Broad Hollow, which drains into Dixie Hollow near a Donner-Reed August 11, 1846 campsite, provided a detour around the Dixie Hollow chokepoint. The pioneers veered northwest up Broad Hollow (look to your right), turned west across a wide bench, and then dropped south again to East Canyon Creek through today’s East Canyon State Park.
